- Design and delivery of Rail Safeworking training programs and overseeing contractor management activities
- FIFO 5/2 4/3, rosters or residential options available
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Trainer to join our expanding team as we take on the next phase of growth in support of the business. Our successful candidate will be an individual who will be effective in the delivery of Rail Safeworking Training initially, with a view to expanding to other Rail related training needs and associated Contract Management (CM) activities. There will be some components of ‘in-field’ training and assessing required in the role.
An ability to partner with a wide variety of stakeholders and remain adaptable whilst delivering across multiple sites is essential.

Reporting to the Supervisor Training, your remit will include but not be limited to:
- Planning, coordinating, and facilitating Rail Safeworking Training
- Maintain quality and QA/currency of delivery materials for internally delivered offerings
- Maintain in-field currency by assisting with / supporting improvements or updates to training documentation and Standard Work Procedures
- Support/undertake training delivery vendor partnership / contract management and governance activities (contracts, scopes of work, master data, procurement and CM system setup and schedule/execute assigned routine QA’s, contract management meetings and records).
What you’ll bring
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- Cert IV in Training and Assessing is essential
- Experience in the application of adult learning principals as well as a willingness to be open to changing learning and development techniques including the use of technology
- Experience in presenting, facilitating, coaching and developing to achieve operational capability outcomes
- Experience with in-field training and assessing activities
- Exposure to overseeing Contract Management activities and ensuring governance is proactively executed and recorded with reliability, timeliness and quality as per routines, business processes, systems and frameworks
- Strong internal and external stakeholder/partner relationships through felt confidence and trust of partnership
- Identifying and enabling Continuous improvement opportunities
- Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills along with exposure to working within a Learning Management system
- Experience &/or exposure to Rail Safeworking is highly desirable.
