About the role: 

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Training Administrator join our North Goonyella Mine.  Our North Goonyella mine is an underground longwall mine located 160 kilometers west of Mackay producing a premium quality, high strength coking coal for export markets.

Reporting to the Training Specialist, your role will be responsible for providing administrative support to the North Goonyella team, ensuring that accurate training records are maintained, training activities are coordinated, and all systems are updated with accurate and live data. 

Duties will include:

  • Maintain the onsite training database ensuring accuracy, quality, and standardisation of training records
  • Provide direction to the sites Trainer and Assessors in administering the site training calendar
  • Provide coordination and administration for the designated training days as required
  • Scheduling of employees training courses in alignment with approved training budgets and training needs analysis
  • Maintain document and record control for the onsite training function (training documentations, forms and packages)
  • Provide visibility and support to the Health, Safety & Training team
  • Provide monthly reporting requirements associated with the training function
  • Participate and lead internal auditing activities associated with the Health, Safety & Training function.
  • Create and maintain purchase orders as required  

The lifestyle: This position is offered on a 9-day fortnight (Monday to Friday, Monday to Thursday) roster and can allow for a residential (Moranbah or Nebo) or DIDO lifestyle.  Employees living residentially may have access to a $15,000 housing allowance and may have the ability to salary sacrifice up to 50% of mortgage interest or rental payments.

About you:

  • 3+ Years administration experience
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate and use internal databases and programs
  • Ability to follow industry and company policies and procedures
  • Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Office and Kronos (or similar computer packages)
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail coupled with problem solving ability
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety as a way of life
  • A certificate in Business Administration related discipline would be advantageous but not essential
