We are seeking a Training and Scheduling Officer to join Rio Tinto’s Learning and Development team based in Brisbane Hub.
Learning and development is to be an effective and accessible lever to mitigate risk and build capability to meet the needs of the business. This is underpinned by the injection of innovation, optimisation and data driven decision making.
Learning and Development are accountable for the complete learning cycle including; identification of learning needs, design and development of learning content, scheduling for learning completion, delivery of learning, recording of learning completion and measurement of learning effectiveness against defined criteria.
Reporting to our Brisbane based Superintendent Learning and Development you will:
- Deliver formal face to face classroom learning content
- Manage pre and post-classroom or learning delivery logistics including; attendee lists, printing of required resources, marking assessments, and scanning/uploading of learning evidence
- Be accountable for quality assurance assessment of competency evidence
- Partner with wider L&D team to development and review learning content
- Complete standard SAP transactions for the maintenance of L&D training contracts
- Maintain the training compliance and standards database
- Provide training reports to key stakeholders highlighting training needs, requirements and compliance
- Maintain the learning portal
- Review schedules to ensure compliance with standards and preparing compliance reports for the business as required
- Liaise with internal and external parties to identify needs and services
- Monitor incoming enquiries and responding to internal and external customers
- Provide general administrative duties including arranging meetings, rooms and catering
About You
- Demonstrated commitment to the safety of yourself and others
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment
- Strong facilitation skills including how to engage, story tell and bring people on the learning journey
- Interpersonal skills to communicate efficiently and effectively with learners
- High level of attention to detail to confirm transfer of knowledge
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 suite
- Experience in facilitation of learning content
- Experience working in a large integrated organisation
- Strong stakeholder engagement with finely tuned administration skills capable of developing and running reports
