About the role:

We are currently seeking a Training & Health Administrator at our Coppabella Moorvale Mine.  Our Coppabella Moorvale mine complex consists of three (3) open-cut mine operations located approximately 140 kilometers southwest of Mackay that produce premium low-volatile pulverised coal (LV-PCI) for export markets.

Reporting to the Health Safety & Training Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the Mine Record Entry and providing guidance to site’s personnel to ensure compliance with legislative obligations and requirements of the Health & Safety/SAWOL Management Systems. You will be part of a small but dynamic team championing a strong health safety and training culture across the sites, embracing the diverse range of tasks that come with managing separate sites. Duties will include:

  • Supporting all Key Stakeholders as required in regards to Health and Training.
  • Assist with booking medicals for CMWs
  • Maintenance of Res Health, Care Lever and any medical databases.
  • Assist with Medical Management Plans.
  • Maintenance of Training records both electronically and hard copy.
  • Assist with Inductions and WAFs held on site.
  • Assist with booking external training for CMWs.
  • Assist the Training Specialist with auditing Training profiles and maintaining the TNA.
  • Ability to generate reports, accurate data entry, preparation of meetings and action items.
  • Assist with onboarding of personnel to site for IT access, database access etc.
  • Submit all reporting requirements, weekly, monthly, quarterly, Corporate and Regulatory.
  • Assist Key Stakeholders with Technical & Report writing and evidence gathering.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information within the HST team, and work collaboratively within the team to ensure each can work to their full potential.

The lifestyle: This position is offered on a 9 day fortnight (Monday to Friday, Monday to Thursday) roster and can allow for a residential (Moranbah or Nebo), DIDO or FIFO lifestyle.  Employees living residentially may have access to a $15,000 housing allowance and may have the ability to salary sacrifice up to 50% of rental payments.

About you:

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Previous Health and Training experience in a similar role within the mining industry. 
  • Previous medical bookings experience.
  • Previous Learning Management Systems (LMS) experience.
  • Desirable, Allied Health qualifications.
  • Desirable, Training qualifications.
  • Strong, analytical skills with a focus on helping people.
  • Res Health, Care Lever, Pegasus experience.
  • MS office suite – PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
  • Possess the ability to work in a fast paced environment, and have a proactive attitude with the ability to multitask.
