Training Officer

Work Location: Hedland Operations - Fortescue’s Hedland Operations are located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people.

Roster: 8D/6R - Residential in Port Hedland or FIFO ex Perth

Reporting to the Superintendent Training this role will assist in delivery of effective training operations.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Schedule internal & external training courses in LMS and Outlook
  • Controlling the Hedland Training Inbox and Calendar
  • Controlling Training room booking
  • Liaising with a wide range of internal & External customers at all levels
  • Processing all required data and ensuring data integrity and quality control
  • Managing Safeworking training & Rail Medical process
  • Booking Rail Cat Medicals for Site based staff.
  • Managing the MSIC booking system
  • Preparing reports
  • Raise purchase requisitions of goods and services from SAP and Ariba
  • Managing PO's for Training department and complete month end accruals
  • Organise, attend team meetings and take minutes (onsite)
  • Direct liaison with external agencies and external providers

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Minimum two years in a similar administrative role within the Mining environment
  • Success Factors Learning Management System experience is essential
  • SAMS & Workflow experience
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Impeccable communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent Administrative skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Excellent time management and scheduling skills
  • Ability to work cohesively within a team
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Ability to take direction
