We are looking for a Training Planner to join our inclusive and high performing Mining Production Training team. Working as the link between Mining Superintendents and the Training Facilitators, your communication skills and proactive nature will enable you to deliver real time training for our New starters and upskilling current workforce. Reporting to the Training Supervisor key responsibilities will include:

  • Design and develop training plans for multiple departments (onsite and external)
  • Design, prepare and order educational aids and materials
  • Assess instructional effectiveness and database records to determine the development of the training plan
  • Manage curricula database to introduce training activities to improve compliance.
  • Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment to ensure resources meet the plan
  • Working with 1Sap and Workflow systems
  • Communication and building of solid relationships  

About You

We have a strong focus on finding individuals with the right values, leadership capability, and communication skills.   Your interpersonal skills will foster collaborative working relationships across operational teams. Key requirements include:

  • Proven work experience as a Maintenance / Training Planner or similar role
  • Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)
  • MS Office proficiency
  • Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments
  • Strong communication skills

Location

Nickel West Leinster is located 375 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.  The operation sources nickel ore from the Perseverance Underground Mine and Cliffs Underground Mine before crushing and processing to produce a concentrate.  The Leinster Village and Township offer a unique lifestyle with all the modern conveniences – an Olympic size swimming pool, health and fitness centre, race-course and even an 18 hole golf course.  As part of our commitment to health and safety Nickel West Leinster.
