About the role
We have full-time permanent positions available at the Appin and Dendrobium Mines!
Reporting to the Superintendent Safety, Risk & Training, you will support the operation with coordination and facilitation of various training requirements. You will also coach trainer assessors, develop and maintain training and assessment resources and partner with the operation to ensure role and site compliance.
Key Accountabilities
- Enhance induction and mobilisation training including online, face to face and on the job
- Support the business to ensure effective implementation of their training plans
- Partner with Leaders and Supervisors to analyse role compliance gaps and develop gap closure training plans
- Lead and execute projects related to training including training standardisation, continuous improvement and business initiatives
- Consult with key stakeholders in relation to training needs analysis, design, planning, development, execution
About you
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment TAE40116 preferred
- RIIRIS402 Carry out Risk Management Processes (G2)
- Experience working in mining or heavy industry (highly desirable)
- Experience coordinating and facilitating small and large group training
- Experience in project management and/or leading teams
- Coaching and development experience
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to present information in an engaging and effective manner, across all levels of the organisation
Location
The Appin and Dendrobium mines are located in the southern coalfields of New South Wales, near the coastal city of Wollongong and approximately 75 kilometres south and southwest of Sydney.
