We are looking for an Change Management Specialist – Transformation to be accountable for developing and implementing all aspects of change management to support the delivery work of agile teams. This role requires delivery across all areas of change management, from change visions; impact assessments, change readiness for stakeholders, change measures and delivering sustainable and impactful change.

You will gain valuable experience in delivering change for IS&T across both our technical and business functions. You will be part of a team that drives the change in how we work and contributes to the development of the culture and mindset for success in a complex technical environment. You will work with the Transformation Change Manager and your change peers across our global operations in Perth, Montreal, and Brisbane. In our small team, we will also have a communications specialist to help us target our changes to the business.

Reporting to the Principal Adviser Communications Change - Transformation Team and working in a collaborative and exciting environment you will:

  • As part of the Transformation team, work as a dedicated change specialist with our cross-functional Agile teams to develop and drive all change-related artifacts and change stages from preparing to sustaining change.
  • Develop and implement change visions; the role of change in the Agile Charter; develop measures and track throughout the defined program for the Agile teams.
  • Develop and implement detailed impact assessments that are supported by action plans.
  • Develop and implement plans including communication; engagement; stakeholder; training and coaching.
  • Contribute to the execution of transformation strategies to ensure that change management has been considered and drives enterprise change for IS&T.
  • Be part of the Community of Practice for Change advisors across Rio Tinto – to shape and build awareness of the value of change management.
  • Contribute to the execution of internal and external communications strategies including support our communication specialists with content from the agile teams.

Understanding and awareness of working across multiple time-zones to deliver.

What you’ll bring

  • High levels of skills and experience in change management as part of transformation programs. 
  • A bachelor’s degree in psychology or related discipline/field such as HR. 
  • Active professional membership with a recognised industry body and/or training in Prosci or other certifications.
  • Understanding of how agile frameworks and change management for the delivery of ways of working within a technology function.
