Are you a skilled logistics professional with a passion for organisation and efficiency? We’re looking for an experienced Transport and Logistics Officer to bring their expertise to our dynamic team in Mackay. This residential role is based at our Mackay Distribution Centre, where you’ll play a crucial role in managing and optimising our transport operations while maintaining a high standard of quality and safety.

What Is Your Day Going to Look Like:
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and local transport providers.
- Coordinating daily general freight bookings with a focus on cost efficiencies.
- Handling quotations for HME movements and associated equipment using the Emeco logistics model.
- Ensuring transport vendors comply with permits and regulatory requirements.
- Raising purchase requisitions to facilitate logistics works.
- Advising internal stakeholders of logistics service schedules.
- Maintaining accurate logistics data in approved company systems.
- Overseeing vendor accounts and managing invoice processes.
- Developing and sustaining effective internal and external relationships.
- Undertaking additional tasks as requested by your supervisor.
Requirements:
- Unrestricted rights to work in Australia (mandatory). Please note: We are not offering visa sponsorship.
- Proven experience in logistics and transport management with a strong technical background.
- Strong ability to coordinate freight bookings and oversee vendor accounts and invoices.
- Excellent communication skills for advising stakeholders and managing effective relationships.
- Keen attention to detail for maintaining logistics data and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ability to handle quotations and procurements effectively while addressing challenges.
- Current Australian driver’s licence (mandatory).
