Treasury Analyst
Work Location: Fortescue Centre & Bennett St
- Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people.
Roster: Monday - Friday
As a member of Fortescue's Treasury team, this role will support the Treasury Manager – Operations in developing and executing strategy and objectives for management of the Group’s cash and intercompany funding requirements that are aligned to the Company vision, values and objectives.The role will support the Treasury team by providing hands on support to the team in operational processes and projects supporting a diverse range of stakeholders, in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Actively manage the Group’s global cash investment portfolio in accordance with approved policies and guidelines.
- Administer all intercompany funding requirements, associated loan documentation and equity issuance in subsidiaries.
- A focus on continuous improvement to develop, implement and maintain cash management systems and processes to improve cash visibility, control and reporting requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with banking institutions and service providers to optimise transactional banking services.
- Stakeholder engagement to understand the business, perform analysis and develop strategies to mitigate/take advantage of identified risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate with peers to analyse forecasted cash flow, funding requirements, FX and liquidity positions.
- Lead transactional banking reviews and account opening activity.
- Support the administration of transactional banking, dealing mandates and payment activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Treasury, Corporate Finance or related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of financial markets and financial instruments.
- Experience with FIS (Integrity) and SAP preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
