About the Role
Working at our Perth Office on a Monday - Friday day shift roster, the Technology Remote Operations Centre (TROC) Operations Senior Specialist for Mining Systems, your service scope remit encompasses the Technology that supports our Mining Operations with services including but not limited to;
- Fleet and Autonomous Systems
- Mining Safety Systems
- Digital Radio
And the supporting infrastructure services such as;
- Fixed Network
- LTE
- Wireless Technology
Your key accountabilities within this scope remit will include:
- Analyse TROC 24x7 shift operations for consistency and best practice across crew rosters and provide technical support to improve procedures, knowledge, monitoring and response activities with the primary goal to predict and prevent services failures OR minimise Mean Time To Restore in the event a service outage does occur.
- Providing a contact point to interface with TROC shift crews as well as being the voice of crew operational requirements for monitoring and response tools and procedures.
- Lead TROC operational readiness and transition to support activities for new or enhanced services. Engaging with service owners and project teams to uplift TROC team support capability and capacity to accept new service scope.
- Lead the continuous improvement and automation of TROC 24x7 operational monitoring and response support activities
- Asset health management, ensuring proactive maintenance identification
- Provide input in to the resolution (both reactive and proactive) of problems assisting with identifying repeat incident patterns and root causes & implementation of remedies to prevent future incidents.
- Execute business unit disaster/service recovery plans and actively participate in the regular tests as required
- Identify and contribute to automation of tools and processes to continuously improve both reactive and proactive activities
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have significant experience in operational support of critical services in large scale environments, preferably mining/resources. You will be a logical thinker and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills (including root-cause analysis) with the ability to prioritise effectively in a high-pressure environment.
You will be a multi-tasking team player who can quickly and effectively assess the business impact of changes and incidents. With well-developed oral and written communication skills you will demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively and build relationships at all levels.
You will need to lead and coach teams and engage across multi-disciplinary teams.
You will have a strong focus on customer service, collaboration and continuous improvement.
As the preferred candidate, you will ideally have a trade/tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Business, Engineering or related discipline.
Additionally, knowledge and skills in applications support specific to the Mining industry, including some or all of the following are beneficial;
