Due to our ongoing growth, Macmahon is currently seeking enthusiastic and experienced people to join the team at the King of the Hills (KOTH) mine located in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia, 28km north of Leonora. Macmahon has secured a five-year Surface and Underground mining contract with RED 5 Ltd. The mine anticipates annual production above 200kozpa. KOTH is Australia’s next major Gold Mine, which will feature state-of-the-art technology, 85% new plant and brand-new camp facilities.

We are currently seeking an experienced Tyre Fitter with responsibilities not limited to:

• Remove and fit rims and wheel assemblies on heavy earthmoving mining equipment as required
• Remove and refit tyres and wheel assemblies on heavy earthmoving mining equipment as required
• Perform regular tyre inflation pressure checks, adjust and report to supervisor
• Exceptional diagnostic and troubleshooting / interpretive skills.
• Able and willing to conduct other tasks when required
• Support the maintenance departments planning strategy and work order management 
• Work in accordance with the site's procedures.

Essential Requirements: 

• Cert II in Tyre Fitting
• Minimum 3 years experience in the role or similar within the mining industry working in Underground and Surface operations.
• Previous experience working FIFO 
• Self-motivated and energetic
• A strong safety and procedural focus
• Sound planning and organisational skills
• Current HR Class Drivers Licence preferred
• Experience with air pressure and tyre inspections, chain application and service, checking for signs of damage and wear
