Job Tasks and Responsibilities

What We’re looking For

In this exciting period of growth, a number of opportunities exist at Moolarben Coal Operations to join our Underground team as an Electrical or Mechanical Tradesman. Reporting to the Shift Area Leader (Undermanager), uour responsibilities will include:

• Conduct effective maintenance and fault-finding work on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Monitor mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure it remains in a fit for purpose and safe condition.
• Operate machinery as part of a multi-skilled workforce.

Skills and Experience

Our Essential Criteria 

• Underground Coal Mining experience or Relevant Heavy Industry plant experience.
• Relevant qualifications - Mechanical and or Electrical Trade Qualification.
• A professional work ethic and the ability to strive for continuous improvement.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Experience with promoting a positive safety culture within the mine.
• Sound planning, organisation and problem-solving skills.
