Operations near and far

Our Cadia site is located in Central West New South Wales, approximately 25 kms outside the vibrant regional town of Orange and three hours’ drive from Sydney. Employees reside in the varied accommodation options in Orange, with the surrounding winery and national park areas to enjoy.

Who we are looking for

Seeking an enthusiastic and safety-focused Trade Assistant to join our busy Mobile Maintenance team at Cadia. Reporting to the Supervisor – UG Mobile Fleet Maintenance, you will be required to assist the team in maintaining CVO PC2-3 Development Drill fleet, by working in conjunction with the PM service team, completing hose replacements and maintenance repairs.

Other key deliverables include:

  • Support maintenance and management for the mobile fleet, focusing on improving wastage and maximising longevity.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environment and mining statutory requirements.
  • Carry out Pre-start inspections of equipment and work areas.
  • Ensure on the job housekeeping is focused on and work areas are kept neat, clean and tidy at all times.

As the ideal candidate, you will be energetic, hardworking and enjoy following procedures. While you will appreciate being part of a busy team, you will enjoy working autonomously when required and will add real value to the business through your ability to grasp new concepts quickly and efficiently.

 In addition, you will ideally also have:

  • Experience in manufacturing and replacing hydraulic hoses (Qualified tradesperson in the maintenance field would be advantage).
  • Experience in the heavy industry maintenance environment, particularly associated with mobile fleet (desirable).
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word) and the ability to utilise mobile devices to document work (Apple iPad).

Please note: This is a permanent full-time residential role at our Cadia mine site, on a 7D/7X roster.
