Job Tasks and Responsibilities
Based at Moolarben Coal Operations, reporting to the Senior Site Engineer and working collaboratively with the Weekend Under Manager, the Weekend Engineer will manage all engineering activities on the weekend roster. This position is suited to a candidate that has sound problem solving ability and a disciplined approach to ensure:
- The safe and efficient execution of the maintenance plans and production targets.
- Detailed reporting of maintenance completion and further corrective action required.
- Manage all engineering processes and resources on the weekend roster.
- The ability to adjust the maintenance plan and prioritization of resources due to changing circumstances.
Skills and Experience
Essential Criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications in electrical (preferred) or mechanical engineering.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
- High level knowledge of all aspects associated with operation and maintenance of modern mining plant and equipment.
- Sound knowledge of longwall systems
