We are currently seeking highly skilled Underground Auto Electricians to join our Maintenance teams at Cliffs.  Team members are expected to demonstrate focus on safety, achievement and team engagement in all aspects of their work.  Nickel West is undergoing an exciting business transformation to become a globally significant supplier of battery materials to the electric vehicle market. Nickel West will soon become the world’s largest producer of Nickel Sulphate, a key ingredient in lithium-ion batteries. Cliffs

Whilst Cliffs is an underground mine, the site presents with a surface workshop for those looking for an alternation of work on surface and underground. A close-knit team of experienced tradesman bring a wealth of knowledge to this site where the team are like family. Additionally Cliffs staff enjoy all the benefits of the Mt Keith camp, adding to the social atmosphere.

About You 

  • Auto Electrician Trade (Australian recognised) 
  • Experience working as an Auto Electrician in a mining environment
  • Auto Electrical diagnosing and repairing of underground machinery (Caterpillar loaders, Epiroc trucks, Sandvik drills, Epiroc drills, Volvo IT L90/L120, Normet spray and charge rigs)
  • Diagnose and repair RCT remote control system faults on Caterpillar loaders and assist with level set up design of RCT remote control systems in the mine
  • Ensure that all documentation and data entry is accurately completed
  • Auto Electrical maintenance and repairs on Light vehicles (Toyota)
  • Maintain a high level working knowledge of safety processes
