Job Tasks and Responsibilities
In this exciting period of growth, a number of opportunities exist at Moolarben Coal Operations to join our Underground team as a Deputy. Working with a dynamic team, you will be a strong leader who has the ability to drive the correct safety culture whilst maintaining a strong focus on continuous improvement, problem solving and high standards. Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring all crews are following HSEC policies and procedures.
- Achieving and driving agreed production targets.
- Delivering maintenance schedules in accordance with statutory and site regulations.
- Performing statutory and compliance inspections in line with legislation.
- A strong focus on minimising wastage and cost saving initiatives.
- Facilitating crew/shift communications sessions.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Underground Coal Mining.
- NSW 3rd Class (Deputies) Certificate of Competency.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Experience with promoting a positive safety culture within the mine.
- Sound planning, organisation and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to meet production targets.
- Cert IV Underground Coal Mining (desirable)
