Job Description:
Vault Minerals is currently seeking suitably qualified Underground Electricians to join their Mining Maintenance Team at Darlot Gold Mine in the Eastern Goldfields. Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible to provide high quality maintenance and electrical services on a wide variety of machinery in the underground operations. 

The role is offered on an 7 nights on, 7 days on, 14 off roster - FIFO or DIDO
Point of hire: PERTH, WA

Key responsibilities will include;

• Understand and comply with all operation specific quality procedures and statutory regulations;
• Complete Monthly Scheduled Statutory requirements
• Breakdown/Maintenance of U/G drilling equipment
• Installation of underground communication systems
• Installation and maintenance of underground low voltage systems operating at 1000V
• Ensure statutory documentation is completed daily
• Ensure electrical testing is completed and recorded to comply with electrical standards
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings
• Assist in other areas of the operation as required ensuring operational targets are met in a safe, environmentally compliant and efficient manner.
• Demonstrate a hands on approach to the day to day activities in a cost effective manner, assuring awareness of performance targets, access to the necessary tools to achieve these and that their activities are aligned within company targets
• Effectively communicate with the maintenance department and other key stakeholders as required
• Ensure minimal disruption to production through ready access to critical parts, equipment and service providers by developing and maintaining sound working relationships and having contingency plans in place.

Key factors to your success include;

• Minimum 2 years Australian hard rock underground mining experience 
• Unrestricted WA Electrical Licence
• Senior First Aid
• HV switching ticket
• Working at heights and EWP tickets
• Proven experience within a similar role with good knowledge of equipment within an underground environment
• Valid C Class WA Driver’s license as a minimum
• Ability to multitask, communicate clearly and be proactive is essential

Desirable;

• Dogging &/or forklift ticket
• Certificate II in Split Air Conditioning and Heat Pump Systems
• SAP knowledge is an advantage
