Underground Electrician

Pit N Portal are currently seeking an Underground HV Electrician to commence immediately at the King Vol Project 40km N/W of Chillagoe in North QLD. This is an exciting opportunity to join a close-knit team, in a stable and secure permanent position within the Underground team.

About the Role:

• Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible to monitor the status and condition of electrical equipment and advise the supervisor of any concerns or problem areas
• Installation and maintenance of 11kV, 1000V, 415V and 240V reticulation on site
• Installation and maintenance of RCT Connect tele remote systems

Skills & Experience:

• Australian Recognised Electrical Trade Certificate
• QLD Electrical Licence
• HV Switching Certificate
• Working at Heights Certificate
• LVR/CPR
• Demonstrated experience working within an underground mining environment
• Knowledge and application of safe and reliable electrical installation and maintenance
• Experience with RCT systems (highly desirable)
• Advanced First Aid Training Certificate (desirable)
• Current 'C' Class Drivers Licence (minimum)
• National Police Clearance (within 3 months)
