We currently have a great opportunity for a qualified Underground Field Service Fitter to join our growing team. This position requires the candidate to be out in the field attending multiple sites with Raise bores and Rhino machines within the duration of their swing.
Raising Australia is a specialist raise-drilling contractor within the Byrnecut Group, offering expert services to assist with the extraction of minerals underground. We have completed projects across Australia and Indonesia, using our modern fleet of machinery including electric-hydraulic drill rigs capable of box hole boring and conventional raise drilling.
Duties:
- Maintain various Raise bore and Rhino Box hole machines
- Work as part of a dedicated crew
- Complete inspections
- Perform scheduled maintenance and technical support
- Tackling breakdowns and repairs
- Transporting equipment to and from site when required
Requirements:
- Full Australian working rights
- Australian recognised trade certificate in relevant field
- Valid Australian manual driver’s licence
- Ability to be autonomous
- Previous experience in mechanical maintenance in an underground environment with knowledge of mining equipment
- Have a high understanding and awareness of occupational health and safety
- Current Senior First Aid certificate
- Current National Police Clearance (within 6 months)
- Ability to pass continuous Drug & Alcohol Screenings
- Excellent Communication & Organisation Skills
