We currently have a great opportunity for a qualified Underground Fitter to join our growing team!
Raising Australia is a specialist raise-drilling contractor within the Byrnecut Group, offering expert services to assist with the extraction of minerals underground. We have completed projects across Australia and Indonesia, using our modern fleet of machinery including electric-hydraulic drill rigs capable of box hole boring and conventional raise drilling.
Duties:
- Maintain various Raise Bore and Rhino Box Hole machines
- Work as part of a dedicated crew
- Complete inspections
- Perform scheduled maintenance and technical support when required
- Tackling breakdowns and repairs
- Transporting equipment to and from site
Requirements:
- Full working rights within Australia
- Australian recognised trade certificate in relevant field
- Valid Australian Manual driver’s licence
- Previous experience in mechanical maintenance in an underground environment with knowledge of mining equipment
- Have a high understanding and awareness of occupational health and safety
- Preferred candidate to be based in WA
- Current Senior First Aid certificate
- Current national police clearance (within 6 months)
- Good Communication & Organisation Skills
