Underground Fitter

We currently have a great opportunity for a qualified Underground Fitter to join our growing team.

With over 5,500 employees, the Byrnecut Group is a full-service underground mining contractor, providing services to major mine owners throughout Australia and Internationally. We operate a multi-million dollar fleet of specialised underground mining equipment across multiple continents and conditions.

Requirements

• Full working rights within Australia
• Australian recognised trade certificate in relevant field
• Valid Australian Manual driver’s licence
• Previous experience in mechanical maintenance in an underground environment with knowledge of mining equipment
• Have a high understanding and awareness of occupational health and safety
• Preferred candidate to be based in WA
• Current Senior First Aid certificate
• Current national police clearance (within 6 months)
• Good Communication & Organisation Skills

Duties

• Maintain various Raise Bore and Rhino Box Hole machines
• Work as part of a dedicated crew
• Complete inspections
• Perform scheduled maintenance and technical support when required
• Tackling breakdowns and repairs
• Transporting equipment to and from site
