Vault Minerals is looking for experienced Mobile Plant Fitter's to join the Underground team at Darlot Gold Mine.

With a strong legacy, Darlot is focused on the future, optimising production and driving exploration programs to extend the mine’s lifespan and uncover new resources. The Darlot mine is located about 900 km northeast of Perth and 121 km north of Leonora, in the Goldfields Region of Western Australia.

The Underground Mobile Plant Fitter will provide timely preventative maintenance and repairs of the Underground and Surface operations Mobile equipment fleet. 

The position will be offered on a 7 nights on, 7 days on, 14 days off roster - FIFO from Perth or DIDO from surrounding areas.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Promote and maintain a culture of safety, adhering to Vault Minerals' safety standards.
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities are completed to the highest standard.
  • Support the efficient operation of the production facilities by providing reliable and accurate maintenance knowledge, expertise and practical application, to minimise down time and subsequent loss of production.
  • Correct and/or report safety and environmental hazards when identified to mitigate risk and reduce the occurrence of incidents and/or injury by investigating and reporting on ground control issues.
  • Ensure minimal disruption to production through the ready access to critical parts & equipment and service providers by developing and maintaining good working relationships with external companies and having contingency plans in place to source these at short notice if required.
  • Perform quality fault finding to ensure accurate diagnosis of faults.
  • Ensure that all required parts are included in a scope of works for future equipment repairs as Identified through maintenance tasks and inspections.
  • Ensure all stock items used are booked out of the store.
  • Prioritise and respond quickly to urgent breakdowns impacting production or safety.

About You: 

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Recognised relevant Trade Certificate
  • WA Manual Drivers Licence (C Class)
  • Full Australian Working Rights with no limitations
