Underground Grader Operator

Due to our ongoing growth, Macmahon are currently seeking enthusiastic and experienced people to join the team at the "King of the Hills” mine located in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia 28km north of Leonora. Macmahon have secured a 5-year Surface and Underground mining contract with RED 5 ltd, the mine will have annual production above 200kozpa, King of the Hills is Australia’s next major Gold Mine which will feature State-of-the-Art Technology 85% new plant and brand-new camp facilities.  Macmahon is committed to attracting high potential employees and believe that our people define our competitive edge in the marketplace, driving our growth. 

We are currently seeking an experienced Underground Grader Operator on a 2:2 Roster to the Project with responsibilities not limited to:

•    Attend and participate in PSI and safety meetings
•    Complete Mac 5’s and be involved in the development of JSEA’s when required
•    Operate other Mobile Plant (i.e. Loader, IT, Truck)
•    Maintain haul roads and declines in active mining areas
•    Level surfaces by making repeated passes over working areas and observing survey pegs or signals from co-workers
•    Break up surface with scarifying attachments and servicing equipment
•    Ensure all relevant documents are submitted efficiently and accurately on time for processing
•    Able and willing to conduct other tasks when required

To be successful you will have the following skills and experience

•    Experience operating a Caterpillar 140M
•    Prior experience in underground mining  
•    Sound planning and organisational skills
•    Ability to work solo and within a team
