Due to our ongoing growth, Macmahon is currently seeking enthusiastic and experienced people to join the team at the King of the Hills (KOTH) mine located in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia, 28km north of Leonora. Macmahon has secured a five-year Surface and Underground mining contract with RED 5 Ltd. The mine anticipates annual production above 200kozpa. KOTH is Australia’s next major Gold Mine, which will feature state-of-the-art technology, 85% new plant and brand-new camp facilities.

Macmahon is committed to attracting high potential employees and believe that our people define our competitive edge in the marketplace, driving our growth. We are currently seeking an experienced Underground Leading Hand HD Fitter on a 2:2 roster with responsibilities not limited to:

• Organising resourcing and providing technical advice, leadership as well as direction to workshop crew
• Ensuring team members have optimum workloads and hands-on training for safe and efficient performance 
• Identifying parts and materials required for daily maintenance activities
• Managing maintenance and rebuild practices as well as the condition of the workplace to company and industry standards
• Mentoring their crew members and help them achieving operational excellence

Machines onsite:

• Drills: Sandvik DD422i & DL421
• Trucks: Epiroc MT65
• Loader: Sandvik LH517i & LH621i
• Ancillary: Volvo L120 & L90
• LV’s: Toyota

To be successful you will have the following skills and experience;

• Australian recognised Trade Certificate
• Proven experience in the repairs and maintenance of heavy earthmoving equipment – especially Sandvik, Epiroc, Volvo & Toyota 
• Exceptional diagnostic and troubleshooting / interpretive skills
• Previous experience in the mining industry or large-scale operations
• Current Manual C Class Drivers Licence
