Underground Maintenance Planner - Electrical

About the role: 

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Electrical Planner to join our Wambo Mine.  Our Wambo mine complex is an underground mine located 30 kilometres west of Singleton that produces metallurgical and thermal coal for export and domestic markets.

Reporting to the Electrical Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring risk is actively assessed during the planning and preparation phases of work and that work plans and work packs are supported with sufficient isolation, work method, work procedures and other information to effectively execute work.

Duties will include:

• Lead the planning processes and contribute effectively and manage relevant aspects of the work management processes to support safe and effective execution of planned activities.
• Ensure work is not scheduled until all permits, risk assessments, materials, labour, equipment and other items have been confirmed.
• Plan work for minor and major plant shutdowns including annual HV Outage.
• Plan, manage High Voltage outages.
• Maintain job ready opportunity work for completion by CHPP Crews as opportunity arises from No Coal opportunity windows.  Negotiate and agree on the work with CHPP Operations staff.
• Ensure maintenance plans reflect the requirements of the EECP and all other statutory requirements.
• Establish and Maintain SAP Master Data
• Establish, maintain, monitor and review PPMO for effectiveness and optimisation for timing, frequency of inspection and coordination of planned maintenance activities.
• Develop annual and 5-year Routine maintenance operating budgets based on external service provider costs and materials for planned maintenance.  Establish with accounts annual purchasing arrangements for contract maintenance services.
• Ensure SAP PM has routine schedules established to manage the maintenance requirements of the following plant and equipment (Work with the EEM to establish the context and requirements)

About you:

• A willingness and desire to work safely and model safe work behaviours and personal commitment to see everyone go home safe everyday
• Previous coal mining experience is required
• The ability to coach and mentor and influence others to work safely and effectively
• Ability to work in a team environment and collaboration with peers
• NSW Electrical Supervisors Licence
• Proficiency using SAP PM
• Good level of verbal, written and numerical skills
• Working knowledge of the Work Health and Safety (Mines and Petroleum Sites) Regulation 2022
• The ability to implement and establish maintenance plans and manage SAP Master Data for electrical maintenance work activities.
