Underground Nipper

Looking for an experienced Nipper to join our Deflector Mine.

Vault Minerals Limited is a leading intermediate gold producer listed on the ASX, with a diversified portfolio of operating assets across Western Australia and Canada. Deflector Operation consists of two high-grade, narrow vein Gold/Copper mines, located 160 km east of Geraldton. The ore is contained in a series of structurally complex lodes, namely the Deflector and Deflector Southwest deposits.

The purpose of this position is to also to assist with jumbo development as required deliver high-quality and timely haulage services using underground trucks.

This position will be offered on a 14:14 FIFO roster from Perth or 14:14 DIDO roster from Geraldton.

Key Responsibilities of this Role Will Include:

• Safe transportation, delivery and set up of ground support and other jumbo development related activities in line with the shift plan.
• Demonstrate good organization skills, understand the heading priorities, and work with the jumbo operators to prevent delays.
• Manage inventory of ground support in the storage areas and report to the Underground Supervisor any concerns as soon as you become aware.
• Assist in maintaining a high standard of housekeeping in underground work areas
• This role may also include operating of    underground trucks on the primary underground and surface haul routes
• Operate trucks and light vehicles in a manner that is safe, efficient and responsible to avoid damage.
• Assist in maintaining truck and light vehicle equipment cleanliness, upkeep, and minor troubleshooting during operations.
• Ensure that material is hauled to the correct destination
• Record and submit accurate shift reports, production records, and maintenance logs.
•  Conduct basic mechanical maintenance checks to maximise machine uptime and productivity.
• Adhere to daily and weekly planned work schedules, ensuring tasks are completed within shift parameters.
• Other duties as required by the Underground Supervisor

Experience & Qualifications:

• Completion of Year 10 education
• Minimum 1 year experience in UG operations (preferable)

Required Certifications:

• WA Manual Driver’s Licence (C-Class)
• First Aid Certificate
• Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC)
