Underground Operator - Gas Drainage

About the role: We are currently seeking Experienced Underground Drill Rig Operators (Gas Drainage) at our Metropolitan Mine. Our Metropolitan mine is an underground coal mining operation located 30 kilometers north of Wollongong in Helensburgh, NSW producing metallurgical coking coal for export and domestic customers.

The lifestyle: This position works 3 x 12 hour shifts per week. 

About you: To be successful in the role, you will have:

• Relevant underground competencies and abilities 
• Experience working in Gas Drainage
• Commitment to high performance standards.
• Currently appointed to operate downhole drill rig, or have experience within the past 2 years

In addition to the above, you will have a genuine commitment to safety and demonstrate a sound understanding of risk and hazard identification. You will be an exceptional team member with a flexible attitude and sound work ethic.
