Pit N Portal have exciting opportunities for Underground Shift Supervisor’s to join the team at our Kambalda Operations. Reporting to the Underground Mine Foreman, these positions are based at our Kambalda North and Cassini Operations.

Key responsibilities include:
- Work within Pit N Portal’s Values Charter, Code of Conduct and it’s policies and procedures
- Be visible, and provide true leadership and mentoring to your team
- Perform the daily management, control and supervision of the working area of the mine
- Liaise with the Maintenance Foreman in regards to any repairs to equipment or servicing
- Oversee the mine and ensure a duty of care is provided to all employees, sub-contractors and visitors
- In conjunction with the Mine Foreman or Project Manager, monitor performance, probation and provide employee mentoring, motivation, counselling or discipline to achieve results
- Actively demonstrate and promote a high level of safety awareness and encourage safe work practices
Required skills / experience & attributes:
- Strong experience in a Underground Shift Supervisor role
- Demonstrated experience in working to and meeting project deliverables, objectives and targets
- A strong track record in supervising & leading a team, with the ability to motivate and drive successful outcomes
- Solid and personable communication skills, with the ability to build strong, collaborative and successful working relationships with your team
- Reasonable computer skills & literacy, particularly across the MS Office suite
- Solid problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and be adaptable
- WA Underground Shift Supervisor Certificate
- First Aid Certificate
- C Class Manual Licence
- National Police Clearance, within 6 months
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screen
- Working Rights within Australia
