About The Role 
 

In this exciting period of growth, a number of opportunities exist to join our Underground Team as an Undermanager. You will be responsible for supervising all activities on shift to ensure that planned work is completed in a safe and efficient manner.
You will strive for the achievement of production targets through the active leadership and development of production teams. 
You will actively ensure statutory and safety compliance whilst driving a culture of continuous improvement and problem solving with high standards. You advanced knowledge of underground coal mining legislation, its interpretation and implementation is essential.
 

What You’ll Bring
 

• Minimum 7 years’ experience in Underground longwall Mining       
• NSW 2nd Class (Undermanager’s) certificate of competency
• Diploma Underground Coal Mine Management (Undermanager)
• Cert IV OH&S Workplace Safety (desirable)
• Sound planning, organisational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to promote a positive safety culture within the mine
• Sound communication and interpersonal skills – run effective start of shift and end of shift briefing sessions
• Ability to meet production targets
• Strong focus on reducing waste and saving costs
• Strong organisational and time management skills
