Join the Macmahon team through our Vacation Engineer Student Program and gain valuable exposure to our Surface or Underground sites across Western Australia. Participate in a structured 10-12 week program designed to provide hands-on experience and professional growth.

About the program: 

Macmahon's Vacation Program provides hands-on experience, structured learning with a supportive team. As a contractor of choice for many clients of the world’s largest mining organisations, the Macmahon Vacation Program offers you the chance to apply your academic discipline across Multiple clients and commodities. The program is available to 1st, 2nd , 3rd & 4th Year Undergraduate Engineers (as of November 2024), that are Australian citizens and permanent residents with applicable working rights in countries we operate in.

• Undergraduate Mining Engineers
• Undergraduate Civil Engineers 
• Undergraduate Mechanical Engineers

• A 10-12 week structured summer Intern program
• The opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of disciplines in one of our Underground or Surface Mining Projects

• You’ll work in diverse teams who will support, encourage, and help you build your technical skills. 
• Opportunity to continue your internship program at our mid-year break. 
• Opportunity to secure a mid-year graduate position at the end (Applicable for 4th Years upon completed Engineering degree)

Recruitment process
