About the role
Winu is an exciting new copper-gold project located in the Paterson Province, Western Australia. The team is focused on strengthening our relationships with the host Traditional Owners of the land while also completing drilling, fieldwork and study activities to progress the project’s development pathway.
Winu’s Value Enhancement program supports the above by successfully identifying, delivering and sustainably embedding improvement opportunities. As Winu looks to further replicate this success across the entire business, we are looking for a Value Enhancement Specialist to join Winu’s Operational Excellence team.
Reporting to the Manager Operational Excellence, you will work collaboratively with each area of Winu to deliver value through both cash and non-cash levers. With a mindset that focuses on both short-term gains and longer term-value, this will mean:
- Owning and continuing to grow the current Value Enhancement framework.
- Develop tools and methods that identify key value bottlenecks and assist in trade-off decisions in line with Winu’s overall strategy.
- Coach and support leaders from across the Winu project through the entire lifecycle of an improvement initiatives (from idea through to sustainably embedding).
- Assist with communications that foster an improvement mindset across the organisation.

What you will bring

- Strong results orientation with a proven record of delivering initiatives on time and to the required quality standards
- Demonstrated application of tools/methods that identify value bottlenecks and inform trade-off decisions
- An analytical mindset with the ability to distil key insights from complex analysis
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders effectively
It would be beneficial but not necessary to have formal qualifications with Lean, Six Sigma and/or an equivalent business improvement toolkit.

Where you’ll be workingWinu is a 100% Rio Tinto owned copper-gold mineralisation project in the Yeneena Basin of the Paterson Province in Western Australia. The project is located approximately 130 km north of the Telfer mine and 350 km southeast of Port Hedland.
