About the Role

Reporting to the Village Superintendent across our two Nickel West northern operations, Mt Keith Village and Leinster village and township. Both locations are experiencing a rapid growth with multiple projects starting to upgrade village and site infrastructure. The village services lead will work closely with our NPI team onsite and our contract partners.  The roster is 5/2  4/3.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effective management of service contractors and proactive issue resolution on all matters relating to village and resident experience.
  • Prepare site communications and feedback
  • Assist with implementation initiatives and programs that improve the experience of the NiW residents
  • Build effective relationships and liaise closely with stakeholders to understand the short, medium & long term requirements in village services according to operation needs
  • Proactively monitor, measure, communicate and report issues, opportunities, risks, service levels, and achievements in relation to the function
  • Effectively manage, coach, develop and mentor
  • Drive a positive and safe workplace culture, conduct daily safety interactions.
  • Actively identify continuous improvement opportunities or capital expenditure initiatives in village and town
  • Ensure legislative and regulatory compliance by working closely with operational business partners.

About You

As a successful candidate you will possess the following:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders at all levels
  • WA C Class Driver’s License
  • Cert IV in Health & Safety (desirable)
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Experience in a similar role and team management experience in the provision of multidiscipline services within the mining or related industry
  • Demonstrated knowledge, experience and understanding of safety procedures governing Village operations and services
  • Ability to problem solve with complex logistical challenges
