Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi people.

8D/6R – FIFO ex Perth

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Village Supervisor to join our operations. This position will be responsible for executing the day to day operations and leading a team to ensure Fortescue villages operate in accordance with Fortescue’s requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring a high quality and consistent level of service delivery from the catering contractor.
  • Accurate and timely reconciliation of camp costs (Catering invoices, reconciliations, 3rd party invoices and back charge items).
  • Ensure that the Catering Contractors meet their contractual agreements and KPI’s, and coordinate monthly Catering site meetings and ensure that any necessary follow up action is completed.
  • Achieve utilisation of resources by coordinating and scheduling activities and, where problems arise, and by rescheduling resources.
  • Ensure all required inspections and audits of the Village and related facilities are completed within the regulatory time frames. Actions arising from those audits are completed in a satisfactory manner and time frame
  • Ensure relevant Village management documents and associated files are updated and copies maintained in the relevant folder in F drive (Weekly Reports, KPI Reports, Scorecard Audits, EOM Paperwork, Asset Registers).

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience with site Village/Camp management or similar environments (e.g. remote hotel or motel management experience).
  • Experience with Contract and Contractor Management.
  • Demonstrated safety leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to use initiative, be self-directed and work under minimal supervision
  • Able to identify and manage key cost drivers in the Village.
  • Intermediate Microsoft office knowledge (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.).
  • Basic auditing knowledge of all operational departments.
  • The ability to manage budgets and associated costs systems for control management and reporting functionalities.
  • Providing leadership and direction to an onsite contract team
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including both written and verbal communication skills. Having the demonstrated ability to liaise and interact with individuals and groups of varying levels of authority.
  • High level of organisation skills and an ability to meet deadlines whilst managing multiple functions simultaneously
