About the role: We are currently accepting applications for an experienced Warehouse Leading hand at our Wilpinjong mine. Our Wilpinjong mine is an open-cut mine located 50 kilometers northeast of Mudgee producing a high quality thermal coal for export and domestic markets.
In this role you will assist in overseeing the day-to-day operation of the warehouse and inventory to deliver adequate supply of parts to the maintenance and operations team.
Duties will include:
- In support of the Warehouse Supervisor, provide ongoing leadership and mentoring to the Warehouse team.
- Day to Day running of the CHPP Warehouse; and Support of their Maintenance Team.
- Routine management of cycle count program to ensure accurate inventory levels are maintained and SOX compliance is achieved.
- Routine management of Rotable and Repairable materials to ensure optimal stock availability.
- Perform core function associated with routine running of the warehouse as required; e.g. Receipt, Dispatch, Reservation Management etc
- Cultivate positive relationships through effective communication and provide constructive feedback to peers on a regular basis.
- Acting Supervisor duties as required.
The lifestyle:
This position is offered on a Monday to Friday 6.30 to 4pm roster and can allow for a residential lifestyle in nearby Mudgee district.

About you:
The successful candidate must have a current Driver’s License and Forklift Ticket along with a minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Warehouse Operator within a maintenance warehouse environment.
The following skills are also required:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Microsoft Office
- SAP experience (desirable but not required)
- Experience in accounting software & ERP systems
- Demonstrated history of providing high level customer service
- S1,2,3 (desirable but not required)
- Successful candidate will have a positive attitude with a continuous improvement approach to the workplace and motivated to achieve.
