About the role 

This is a permanent full-time role being offered on a 4:3 roster, FIFO Darwin or Cairns.

Reporting to the Supply Manager, you will provide logistics and improvement support to the GEMCO Supply function. You will ensure effective logistics services and warehouse improvement, including contract management, project management and delivery of improvement initiatives.

Some of your main responsibilities will include: 

  • Safely manage logistics contractor performance including air, sea & road freight on and off Groote Eylandt
  • Warehouse execution – guide & coach team members to promote a culture of continuous improvement
  • Working collaboratively with our Service providers to ensure positive outcomes for GEMCO
  • Continuously review contractor performance and drive process improvements

About you

You will have experience working in Supply, Logistics, Warehouse and/or Business Improvement roles within the Mining or Heavy Industry with safety at the forefront of everything you do.

To be considered for the role, you will have:

  • Tertiary education in Business, Commerce, or relevant discipline (desirable)
  • Exceptional safety leadership with the ability to identify and eliminate hazards in the workplace
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute, influence and make decisions within multi-functional teams and across all levels
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to interact with all levels including internal and external stakeholders
