As a Warehouse Officer, you'll play a vital role in supporting the movement of materials across our business, ensuring inventory is managed accurately and efficiently from receipt through to dispatch. Working in a modern warehouse environment, you'll collaborate closely with site teams, vendors and logistics providers to maintain stock accuracy, coordinate freight movements and support the timely delivery of critical parts and equipment.

Work Location:
Fortescue’s Hazelmere Distribution Centre is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

 

Roster: Monday to Friday 10 hour days 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage SAP warehouse transactions, including goods receipts, stock transfers, adjustments stock transport orders (STOs), and inventory control.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound freight activities, including receipting, put-away, picking, packing, dispatch and manifest completion.
  • Create, investigate, and close Quality Management (QM) notifications, including back-freight investigations and resolution.
  • Process rotable equipment, back freight, and Transport Request Forms (TRFs) in line with operational requirements.
  • Conduct cycle counts, stocktakes, and inventory audits to maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Support TECO processing, disposals, SX reporting, and warehouse documentation requirements.
  • Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment while adhering to all safety procedures.
  • Build strong working relationships with vendors, site teams, inventory and logistics stakeholders to resolve stock and quality discrepancies.
  • Maintain and update LMT systems while identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all warehouse activities are completed in accordance with Fortescue's safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, supply chain or stores environment.
  • Experience using SAP or a similar warehouse management system (highly regarded).
  • Current High Risk Work Licence (LF Forklift) or the ability to obtain one.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, stock control and warehouse processes.
  • Experience coordinating inbound and outbound freight is advantageous.
  • Sound computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office and warehouse systems.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, work independently and manage competing deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • A strong commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
