Warehouse Officer (New to Industry)

About the role: We are currently seeking applications for a Store person (New to Industry) to join our Wilpinjong Mine.  Our Wilpinjong mine is an open-cut mine located 58 kilometers northeast of Mudgee producing a high quality thermal coal for export and domestic markets.

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient day to day operation of the warehouse and inventory management to support adequate supply of parts to the maintenance and operations team.

You will be part of a dynamic team contributing to the successful performance of the mine along with the following duties:  

• Loading & Unloading trucks
• Routine cycle count program to ensure accurate inventory levels are maintained and SOX compliance is achieved
• Routine management of Rotable and Repairable materials to ensure optimal stock availability
• Perform core function associated with routine running of the warehouse as required; e.g. Receipt, Dispatch, Reservation Management etc
• Cultivate positive relationships through effective communication and provide constructive feedback to peers on a regular basis
• Housekeeping duties as required

About you:

You will be part of a dynamic team contributing to the successful performance of the mine along with the following duties:  

• Proactive approach to safety and safety management
• Current motor vehicle driver’s license. 
• Forklift license (Essential)
• Familiar using ERP system (SAP preferred) with intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite of programs (must be computer literate)
• Previous experience in Warehousing
• Certificate III in transport and distribution (desirable);
• Ability to prioritise work during peak periods in a dynamic environment
• Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written
• Provide a high level of customer service
• Reliable Self-Starter with a positive attitude
