Located in the Great Sandy Desert in Western Australia, Telfer is a fly in fly out operation from Perth which recognizes the importance of work-life balance. Our rooms include Foxtel, and our site offers quality food with healthy options, medical care, sports and recreation activities.
Who we are looking for
We have an opportunity for a self-driven and proactive Warehouse Officer to join our collaborative Supply Team. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, this is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with solid experience and a sound working knowledge of computer-based warehousing systems and processes.
In this role, you will be responsible for the receipt, management and issue of materials on site. The role will involve lots of variety and see you rotating around various tasks with other team members.
Other key deliverables include:
- Unpack, sort and check goods received for quality, type, and quantity
- Prepare goods for transport and all relevant documentation
- Assist with the storage and handling of hazardous materials ensuring all goods are located and stored in a correct manner limiting damage or loss
- Issue stores in compliance with approved issue requests
- Kitting and staging which will involve deliveries around the site
- Assist with stock takes to identify any variances between physical and recorded stock levels
To succeed in this role, you will be a natural team player, with good communication skills and a can-do attitude. You will be respected by your peers for your reliability, safety-first approach and the ability to make decisions in ambiguous and dynamic situations.
In addition to the above key skills, you will also have:
- Demonstrated experience in a Store/Warehousing environment, ideally site-based within Mining or Resources industry
- HR Driver’s Licence (Essential)
- High risk – Forklift Ticket (Essential)
- Computer literate and experience using SAP or a similar system will be advantageous
Please note: This is a permanent position that will work on a FIFO from Perth on a 8days on 6days off roster
