About the Role
We are seeking experienced Warehouse Operators to join our teams across Caval Ridge and Goonyella on a 12-month fixed term basis. Your commitment to delivering a safe and efficient warehouse service will be key to your success in this role. You will work 12 hour days on a 7/7 day/night roster.
Goonyella: either Drive-in / Drive-out from Moranbah or self-funded flights. Camp accommodation provided. Caval Ridge: either Drive-in / Drive-out from Moranbah or flights are provided Fly-in-Fly-Out from Brisbane / Cairns. Camp accommodation provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all Material Handling Equipment (forklifts, reach trucks) are operated professionally and safely
- Efficient investigation and resolution of customer queries
- Safe and efficient execution of warehouse tasks as per Supply procedures
- Safe and efficient execution of minor warehouse maintenance and binning maintenance
- A commitment to delivering a safe and efficient warehouse service
- Maintain warehouse(s) and yard(s) to a global warehouse standard
- Use of RF scanners to receive goods
- Ensuring safe holdings of goods
- Accepting deliveries, unpacking, sorting and storage
- Control of materials
- Comply with BHP Charter, the BHP Level Documents, Code of Conduct, and relevant statutory obligations
- Participation in an environment that promotes teamwork, customer service and action orientation
- Flexibility and the ability to work autonomously as required by the operation
- Liaise with Warehouse and Maintenance teams in a professional manner
- Achieve and/or exceed competencies as required under the department competency matrix
- Participate in all training provided to achieve the competencies required for the role
About You
- Class C drivers’ license
- High Risk Forklift license
- Reach Fork Operations ticket would be advantageous
- Previous experience within a warehousing environment is desirable
- Knowledge of safe manual handling operations
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset
- Strong customer service focus
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
