Managed by Yancoal, Premier Coal is the leading coal producer in Western Australia.  Operating an open cut coal mine near Collie in the South West of WA, the operation produces coal for the domestic market with contracts to 2030.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

As a Warehouse Supervisor at Premier Coal, you will be part of a supportive and inclusive team of professionals. We are looking for an industry leading Supervisor to carry out the following duties:

  • Ensure management of risks and hazards in compliance with mining regulations, chain of responsibility legislation and company OHS policies and procedures
  • Supervisor the daily activities and accurate transactional recording of all goods movements
  • Supervisor the delivery of stock items and direct purchase goods to planned work staging bins and delivery locations
  • Supervisor the return of non-utilised materials and parts to suppliers
  • Expedite open purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of goods to site
  • Regularly monitor and action email communications from suppliers and internal customers
  • Identify, monitor and manage holdings of business critical stock lines
  • Ongoing management of warehouse safety stock levels working in conjunction with Group Material Requirements personnel
  • Maintain close and regular communication with all stakeholders
  • Maintain a high standard of layout planning and ongoing housekeeping

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in warehousing and managing a team
  • Understanding of warehouse and OHS procedures
  • Developed computer skills - Microsoft Office Programs, SAP/ERP or similar
  • Good communication skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong relationship building skills with both customers and colleagues
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • The ability to work autonomously and be part of a wider team
  • Valid forklift license an advantage
