We are currently seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team at Yarrabee Coal Mine

About the Role

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be a part of a dynamic and motivated team.The role will require you to be accountable for the management of stores including purchasing stores related goods,materials and services and monitoring of supplier performance and identifying process improvement opportunities to lower overall costs to the Site and Yancoal Group.

Furthermore, this position is accountable for the on-going improvement and maintenance of the inventory system on site and must maintain regular communication with the site Commercial Team and Group Stores Manager to ensure correct procedures are followed according to accounting, audit and Yancoal Corporate requirements. Supervising a team of four, you will lead an agile and committed team.

Roster: 5/2 Roster - Monday to Friday (flexible) with monthly RDO's

About You

To be considered for the role the following skills and knowledge will be highly regarded:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Skilled in hazard identification and responsive to safety issues
• Able to model professional behaviour at all times with a positive attitude and willingness to assist
• Ability to lead a small team demonstrating initiative and working co-operatively across departments asrequired
• Ability to operate a supply computer system (SAP) including, receivables, issues and MRP systems togenerate Purchase Orders, manage inventory levels and pricing data.
• Strong organisational skills, including the ability to manage a team across multiple tasks with competing priorities within set deadlines.
• Strong understanding of risk awareness, hazard identification and a strong commitment to safety performance
• A formal qualification in supply chain/procurement would be advantageous
• Previous experience working within a Stores/Warehouse and Purchasing team environment in the mining industry.
• Experienced in all areas of providing a warehousing function on a mine site.
• Experienced in using SAP 
• Experience in providing a material purchasing function (MRP)
