Operate a Water Cart to undertake dust suppression activities across haul roads, operational areas and stockpiles.

Deflector Site Overview

Deflector Operation consists of two high-grade, narrow vein Gold/Copper mines, located 160km east of Geraldton. The ore is contained in a series of structurally complex lodes, namely the Deflector and Deflector South West deposits.

Key responsibilities of this role will include:

• Operate surface water carts to undertake dust suppression activities across haul roads, operational areas, stockpiles, laydown yards, workshops, and other designated locations to maintain safe working conditions and environmental compliance.
• Use mobile equipment, including front-end loaders and other authorised machinery, to support a range of surface operational activities.
• Assist with the loading, handling, transport, and placement of materials including aggregates, waste rock, fill materials, consumables, and other site resources as directed.
• Support shotcrete and concrete batching.
• Undertake surface road maintenance and minor civil works activities, including material placement, road repairs, drainage maintenance, and stockpile management.

About You:

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in UG operations operating an underground machinery
• Experience in operating earth moving equipment such as water carts, graders, front end loaders and light trucks
• WA Manual Driver’s License (HR Preferred)
• HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
• Water Cart Verification of Competency (VOC)
