Dewatering Monitoring Technician (Water Services)
Work Location: Fortescue’s Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people
Roster: 7D7R
The Mine service's team at Eliwana ensures that we keep water table below the mining pit floor level and to ensure the site water and power demand has an uninterrupted supply.
Reporting to the Mechanical and Operational Supervisor, this position offers a key role for Fortescue’s Eliwana Mine Services Power and Water team focusing on Monitoring and analysing water assets.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ground water sampling and bore water level measuring for enviro license requirements
- Abstraction & Re-injection bore monitoring
- Transfer pond, storage tank level and system monitoring
- Entering and Reporting data
Education and Experience:
- Water services background in Dewatering/ Water treatment as majority of work is around mine site system monitoring, sampling and reporting.
- Self-motivated and ability to work in a strong team environment as well as individually.
- Strong organizational and communication skills- verbal, written and computer.
- Demonstrate strong safety and team values.
- Experience with Fortescue’s computer-based systems (BMS, SAP) as well as Microsoft Office- Excel
- Manual driver's license, HR and forklift preferable.
