About the Role

BHP Olympic Dam owns, operations and maintains a significant amount of potable water, mine processing water and waste water infrastructure. This include RO based potable infrastructure supplying water to the Olympic Dam mine, camps and surrounding townships. This infrastructure is growing and changing with our business. 

Our Water Execution Team ensures that the infrastructure is operated, maintained and governed to meet BHP and external regulatory specifications. 

We have multiple positions available for fulfillment, the role responsibilities include operating, maintaining and monitoring drinking water, process water and wastewater treatment processes to ensure safe operations and compliance with health and environmental conditions. You will also complete routine plant inspections to report faults and facilitating a range of maintenance activities are typical daily duties.

Please note this position is based at Olympic Dam, operating on a 7/7, day/night roster pattern roster, with residential, FIFO from Adelaide or DIDO options available.

About You

•    Mechanical Trade qualification (Fitting or Plumbing), and/or Water Treatment Qualifications, or experience in water operations and maintenance •    Proven commitment to look after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm’s way •    Be focused on working collaboratively within your team to achieve results •    Able to follow relevant processes and procedures within your department •    Be a team player who is self-motivated •    Willing to learn and contribute to promoting a supportive and positive team culture
