Role Title: Windfarm Development Principal
Work Location: Perth
Roster: Monday to Friday
Summary
The successful candidate will own and drive all project development activities from concept and will liaise with all internal and external stakeholders.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Wind farm design;
- develop / finalise project definition document;
- develop works program and delivery schedule, monitor, correct and report;
- manage budget, cashflow forecast and project cost model
- supervise consultants, technical support service providers and
- develop risk register and critical deliverables matrix
- develop site layouts, project presentations and reporting requirements
- undertake modelling to conclude project economics
- undertake logistics study and ascertain factory to farm supply chain solution including;
- shipping, exit and entry port capabilities / limitations;
- local road and main roads assessments / requirements;
- laydown facilities;
- lift studies and high lift equipment requirements;
- study and propose construction methodology
- assess grid-forming inverter against synchronous condensers
- assess /specify extreme event generator backup power
- BESS feasibility study
- Scope of Work development;
- civil works, roads, foundations, culverts, drainage, below ground infrastructure and above ground support infrastructure;
- internal electrical distribution network, RMU’s, transformers and switchrooms;
- control and communications systems;
- formalising scope of supply; specifications and identifying product modification requirements;
- manage and support development of works specifications and scopes for;
- prepare BOP documentation
- Support Contract development;
- formalising scope of supply and identifying product modification requirements
- assist in negotiations for construction and operating agreements
- support factory to farm supply chain solution
- battery limit coordination and management
- lead Construction Risk Assessment Workshops
- Early-stage development tasks
- Geotech and water surveys
- grid connection / constraint studies
- Manage, Coordinate, Support and Supervise engagement with;
- government approvals
- traditional owners
- pastoralists
Qualifications and skills required:
- Bachelor in Engineering
- Previous windfarm project development experience is essential
- Previous remote site experience is desirable
- Previous team leadership and management of contractors experience is required.
- Commercial qualifications would be beneficial
