About the Role

Operations Services (OS) is providing permanent employment to a growing team of more than 3800 employees. OS is committed to increase employment opportunities for Australian regional communities by delivering stability and sustainability that is good for our people and good for the communities. Success in the role is enabled through leveraging Work Management Processes and Systems to embed standard work in a repeatable way, facilitating a transparent, visible and detailed rolling 4-week plan, focusing on delivery of maintenance activities utilizing 1SAP. This role works closely with the Maintenance Execution and Reliability team to ensure the area equipment is maintained safely and reliably as well as delivering continuous improvement to work plans. The Work Management Planner is a critical contributor to successful delivery of sustainable performance for the business, providing a data driven baseline from which to execute, analyse and improve. Reporting to Superintendent Infrastructure, your key deliverable will include:  

  • Delivers a volume of sequenced work packages.
  • Reviews Notifications and creates Work Orders for approved scopes of work.
  • Plans work in accordance with the 1SAP Work Management process, accurately identifying the required components and resources prior to scheduling.
  • Arranges specialist or external resources (where required) to support the completion of complex work.
  • Creates required part demands and liaises with Inventory Planner.
  • Monitors the Parts Availability Tracker (PAT) and liaises closely with Supply to ensure parts and rotatable materials are delivered on time.
  • Cost Management, Accruals and Forecasting Processes.

About You

As a successful candidate you will possess the following:

  • Demonstrated experience in Planning and Scheduling processes and/or logistics and coordination.
  • Strong communication, relationship building and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Cost Management, Accruals and Forecasting Processes.
  • Ability to draw inferences from multiple data sources, to draw into a single deliverable.
  • System and process orientated - demonstrated experience in delivering through using standardised systems and processes.
  • Ability to collaborate with peer groups and client groups to share feedback and resolve problems.
  • Knowledge of SAP (or an equivalent ERP system) is preferred.
  • While it is not mandatory, a Trade qualification or Engineering degree will be deemed advantageous.
