Work Management Specialist

Work Location: All Sites. – Sites may vary depending on demand.

Roster: 8D/6R OR 4D/3R – FIFO ex Perth – Roster may vary depending on demand (Monday to Friday when working in Perth).  

This is an exciting and varied position within Fortescue to provide support across all operational sites. The overall focus is to deliver business objectives safely and reliably from a maintenance development point of view. You will Conduct classroom, one-on-one & team training for all Work Management Process including Planner Fundamentals & Supervisor Fundamentals Courses as well as ensuring the processes and systems necessary to achieve effective and efficient asset management are robustly and comprehensively implemented. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide resources for implementation of standards. 
  • Conduct internal monitoring processes of compliance to the AM system at the site. 
  • Encourage discussion and exchange of ideas with a view to challenging traditional ways of doing things and exploring better ways. 
  • Develop through the application of an effective learning strategy and process to ensure all work is done safely, efficiently and to the highest quality. 
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining management processes and systems for regular audits on the asset management system. 
  • Perform Internal and external audits which will identify performance gaps and opportunities, maintenance leadership will use the audits results to solve problems effectively and achieve continued sustained improvements in asset management practices. 
  • Develop and maintain efficient work management processes for best practice low-cost maintenance. 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 2-5 years SAP Plant Maintenance experience (Planner level) with strong SAP Plant Maintenance Business Process Skills 
  • Previous Work Management Support/Coaching 2-5 years’ experience 
  • Ability to influence across all levels of the organization, with frontline management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication presentation skills 
  • Problem Solving & Analytical Skills 
  • Trade Qualified will be advantageous
  • Strong people engagement skills
