Role Title: Workshop Planner (Scheduler)  – Green Fleet Development

Work Location: Perth

Roster: 5/2 roster (Mon to Fri) with options for flexibility

In support of Fortescue’s strong focus on green energy and our carbon neutrality targets, one of our key initiatives will be in our Green Fleet projects whereby we will develop and test a range of technologies to power our mining fleet.

Based out our Perth R&D facilities, we are presently looking for a Workshop Planner (Scheduler) to join the Green Fleet Development team.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Plan and schedule workshop tasks to optimise resources and project schedules.
  • Ensure services and materials are ordered to support the completion of workshop activities to schedule.
  • Ensure services and materials are appropriately procured to comply with financial management requirements.
  • Ensure all information is captured in the CMMS to comply with the engineering change management process. eg FLOC’s / BOM’s / Preventative Maintenance Plans / Material Extensions
  • Identify opportunities to improve planning processes to meet customer requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, and control work management corrective work orders, work instructions, maintenance plans and task lists.
  • Maintain Master Data to ensure applicable strategies are supported and appropriately scheduled
  • Work with key stakeholders to deliver continuous improvements based on safety, cost and efficiency

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Workshop based build and maintenance planning highly advantageous
  • Working experience with maintenance management systems and SAP
  • Knowledge and demonstrated use of MS Excel, Outlook and Project
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present plans and ideas in a clear and concise manner  
  • Ability to work within a dynamic and evolving team environment
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
