Mt Owen/Glendell Operations (MGO) is an open cut mining operation which utilises truck and excavator mining methods to produce thermal and semi-soft coking coal, which is predominantly exported for domestic power generation and use in steel production. We are located within the Hunter Coalfields at Hebden in the Upper Hunter Valley of New South Wales.
An opportunity exists for a CHPP Electrical Operator to join our team at MGO. Reporting to the CHPP Shift Supervisor, you will follow a lifestyle roster.
As an Electrical Operator your primary focus will be to operate and maintain CHPP equipment to the standard required to meet target outputs both safely and effectively. Within your role you will be required to effectively identify and communicate risks associated with health, safety and environmental impacts.
The requirements for success in this role include:
Formal Electrical trade qualification
Previous experience in operating ROM loaders, stockpile dozers and haul trucks (desirable)
Motivated and positive attitude towards your work
Strong communication skills
Commitment to safety and sustainability
